A family needs urgent respite
A parent or carer may need a safe short-term option quickly because the usual supports are unavailable, the home situation is under pressure or the participant needs a supported change of environment.
Emergency respite and STA
When a family, carer or support coordinator needs urgent respite and local providers cannot assist, JobsRUs can discuss short-notice accommodation with meals, entertainment and safety intervention staff trained in de-escalation and complex behaviour.
Short-notice enquiries accepted now. Placement depends on suitability, availability, participant needs, staffing and risk assessment.
A parent or carer may need a safe short-term option quickly because the usual supports are unavailable, the home situation is under pressure or the participant needs a supported change of environment.
When a local provider cannot take a short-notice placement, support coordinators often need a responsive provider who can discuss suitability, risks, funding and availability quickly.
Our team can discuss behaviour support needs, de-escalation requirements, routines, triggers, communication preferences and safety planning before confirming a placement.
What can be included
Emergency respite works best when the stay is planned quickly but carefully. We ask the right questions up front, then shape the stay around support needs, routines, safety planning, meals and activities.
Beach-view respite
A beach-view Central Coast location may be available for suitable respite stays. This can give the participant a supported change of environment while families and carers get time to reset.
Stays can include meals and entertainment, with activities planned around participant interests, support needs, safety and staff availability.
Fast intake conversation
Complex behaviour and BMP support
JobsRUs is registered for Module 2A: Implementing Behaviour Support Plans. If the participant has a behaviour support plan, behaviour management plan or regulated restrictive practice requirements, we can discuss whether our team is suitable to implement those strategies during respite or ongoing supports.
